Planned batch conversion service

Open newer SketchUp files in the older version your workflow still uses.

Older SketchUp releases may not open newer .skp files. If you have compatible desktop SketchUp, try the free Dezmo Save to Older SketchUp Version extension or a Ruby save-to-older-version script. SketchUp for Web can open newer models but is not a verified legacy exporter. If you need many files converted without running scripts, reserve a private batch conversion.

How it works

01

Check

Confirm source files and the exact older SketchUp release you need before any charge.

02

Convert copies

Keep originals untouched and produce legacy-version copies in one batch.

03

Report

List successes, failures, and anything that needs inspection instead of promising lossless output.

Reserve the $29 batch price

Up to 25 files at $29. Conversion may lose unsupported features. Original files remain untouched; failures are reported.

We're taking reservations before launch. Reserving is free and doesn't commit you. We'll email you before anything is charged.

Frequently asked questions

Can I open a newer SketchUp file in an older version?

Not always. Older releases may reject newer .skp formats, and some newer features will not survive conversion.

What can I try for free?

With compatible desktop SketchUp, try the Dezmo Save to Older SketchUp Version extension or a Ruby save-to-older-version script. SketchUp for Web is not a confirmed unsupported-legacy exporter.

Can I convert a batch without installing a script?

That is the proposed service, subject to a target-version feasibility check before payment.

Will conversion be lossless?

No guarantee. Unsupported geometry, extensions and damaged files may fail or change. A file-by-file report will flag issues.

Are models uploaded publicly?

The proposed service will not use a public model repository. File retention and deletion terms must be published before accepting models.
